Love's Mountain Quest (Hearts of Montana #2) Review

My Review

I read the first book in the series and really was impressed with it. This book was very realistic, too much so for my taste. A wolf attack on a horse is describes in detail and a wolf gets shot in the throat. Yes, I know things like this did happen for survival in the wilderness but for an animal lover myself it was very hard to read.

I also don't understand how the woman could have romance on her mind when she was in the wilderness seeking her kidnapped son. As a mother romance would be the last thing on my mind as I frantically searched for my son. I've always been impressed by this authors work and I do plan on reading more by her I just hope the next book isn't so graphic. June 30, 2020 published. I was given a complimentary copy of this book. Thank you. All opinions expressed are my own.

GoodReads Summary

After her son goes missing, Joanna Watson enlists Isaac Bowen—a man she prays has enough experience in the rugged country—to help. As they press on against the elements, they find encouragement in the tentative trust that grows between them, but whether it can withstand the danger and coming confrontation is far from certain in this wild, unpredictable land.
