It's Monday! What Are You Reading? - Oct 12
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
This past week we went on a road trip from Thursday through Sunday.
I love historical things and was so excited to visit the Carnton House In Franklin, Tennessee.
Carnton is a historic home and museum in Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. The sprawling farm and its buildings played an important role during and immediately after the Battle of Franklin during the American Civil War. It is managed by the non-profit organization The Battle of Franklin Trust.
We drove through Nashville but it's huge and we were not able to cover it all.
Nashville, capital of Tennessee, located on the Cumberland River in the north central part of the state. Known as Music City, U.S.A., Nashville is the center of world music recordings. The city is also nicknamed the Athens of the South because of the many institutions of higher learning and Greek Revival-style buildings. Nashville covers an area of 533 square miles (1,380 square kilometers) and is the second largest city in Tennessee. Approximately 570,000 people live within the city limits.
Nashville has a growing economy. The city business fields are banking, insurance, printing and publishing; the music industry; and tourism. Nashville is a major producer of chemicals, food products, clothing, textiles, aircraft parts, and tires. Cars assembled in Smyrna and near Spring Hill.
My husband was excited for us to visit here in Huntsville,Alabama

For those interested in space, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) is a must-see – it has one of the largest space collections in the world and is one of the top attractions in Huntsville, AL. Everything from missiles and rockets to other space memorabilia is on display at this fascinating museum. Taking a stroll through the center will be rewarding and educational for all.
There is also the IMAX Space Dome Theater, which gives showings of on-screen space-themed entertainment. Each visit you make to this museum will be different from the last, as they regularly feature traveling exhibits.
