Book Summary

A coming of age story set during World War II in the backdrop of Jupiter Inlet on the Loxahatchee River, Florida. Two ships collided off the river during w.w.II. This is a Historical Fictional story based on that incident. These are fictional characters and story line. The author imagined how the people may have felt when his was happening. Research references are in the back of the book that helped cultivate this story. Mikey and Eddie were best friends. Mikey was a northern boy whose father was a military man stationed in Jupiter. Eddie was a young girl who was a tomboy. Her family were born and raised on the River. Her dad, a fisherman and Eddie loved to fish as well. One night these two children, while sneaking out of their houses to go swimming down by the river, witness the unthinkable. While the rest of the country heard about the world; for the people of the Loxahatchee River it was all too real. Their lives changed forever after this experience. Mikey's dad got transferred to New York City and Eddie's brother joined the service, dying in service to the country.

The children meet again years later in NYC and a miracle happens.

Angela T. Pisaturo was born and raised in Bronx, New York, now residing in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She studied creative writing at the Jerry Jenkins Christian Writers Guild. Angela is a private writing coach as well as a writing teacher in community centers throughout Tampa Bay. She’s written several Christian/Catholic novels, The Rich American Woman (John Gardner Honorable Mention Award/ main character description), Treasures in Clay Vessels, Smoky Mountain Prayer and Sacred Secrets of the Cedar Chest; all of her novels depict women who triumphed over insurmountable odds. She has also penned an article about finding God in nature for Creation Illustrated Magazine. She placed in the top fifteen for Pockets Magazine first lines – put children first contest. One was an inspirational columnist for a local online newspaper. In her spare time, she loves to garden, play her keyboard and walk her Cavachon, Sofie.
